Müller UK & Ireland Group has confirmed the appointment of Carl Ravenhall (44) as Managing Director of Müller Wiseman Dairies, its fresh milk business.
Mr Ravenhall joins Müller Wiseman Dairies from Arla Milk Link with over 25 years experience in the dairy industry having worked across many functions including commercial, operational and technical. In recent years he has held a number of senior executive positions with Milk Link and the Irish Dairy Board's UK subsidiary, Adams Foods, where he was Managing Director for 5 years.
Latterly, he was Managing Director of Milk Link’s cheese business, the largest of its kind in the UK, and since Milk Link’s merger with Arla Foods in 2012, he has played a key role in integrating this business into the new organisation.
Ronald Kers, Chief Executive Officer of Müller UK & Ireland Group said:
“We are ambitious for the future and we intend to be the largest and most competitive dairy company in the UK. It is important that we have the structure and management team in place to deliver our aspirations.
“We are pleased to welcome Carl at an exciting time for Müller Wiseman Dairies, the Müller UK & Ireland Group and the dairy industry as a whole.”
Mr Ravenhall will take up his new appointment at the beginning of April and will be based at Müller Wiseman Dairies headquarters at East Kilbride near Glasgow. He is married with two children and currently lives in Staffordshire.
